Background: Maren Onarheim is a Norwegian singer and composer born in Lillesand, a picturesque coastal village in the south of Norway. She later moved to the Norwegian city of Bergen to attend the University there. Today she lives in Bergen and in Antibes in the south of France. She is a member of TONO, the Nordic Copyright Bureau.

Singing education: Vocal was her main instrument at the University of Agder. Maren also performed with the Opera Choir in Kristiansand as well as the Kristiansand Minster Cantors. Later she took singing lessons for several years with singing mistress Sigfrid “Siff” Pettersen.

Work experience: Musical Nursery School Promter at the Theater of Kristiansand.
Discography 2004 the CD ” Love’s Philosophy” Her own compositions to lyrics by Shelley, Keats and Lord Byron, performed by herself with famous Ketil Bjørnstad at the grand piano. Recorded in Oslo at Fagerborg Lydstudio. The CD was presented in whole on national Norwegian radio (NRK P2 “Visebølgen” 2005)
2008 the CD ” To a Butterfly” Her own compositions to lyrics from various poets, including among others William Wordsworth, May Sarton, Christina Rossetti, Oscar Wilde, Alfred Lord Tennyson - performed by herself with Tove Kragset at the piano and Johan Sebastian Blum at the cello. Recorded in Bergen at “Your Favorite Music”.
